Italian fashion retailer OVS has opened its largest store in India at R City Mall in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, as it deepens its presence in the country’s retail market.
The store spans roughly 12,400 sq. ft. and is designed as a flagship-style outlet, offering a wider range of collections in a more spacious, contemporary setting. It stocks womenswear, menswear and kidswear from OVS, PIOMBO, Les Copains, B.Angel and OVS Kids. The store also introduces MYA, OVS’s curve collection, to the Indian market for the first time.
OVS entered India in 2025 with a store at Pacific Mall in New Delhi, followed by its first Mumbai outlet at Sky City Mall, Borivali, in March 2026. The R City Mall opening is its second store in the city.
Sundeep Chugh, Managing Director, OVS India, said, “The opening of our largest store in India reflects our objective to build a meaningful and long-term presence in the market. With a flagship-style experience and a broader portfolio of brands, we aim to enrich the customer experience and to make contemporary Italian style accessible to Indian consumers while offering them greater choice across categories. Mumbai remains an important market for us as we continue to build our footprint in India.”
OVS India plans to open four more stores by the end of 2027, which would take its network to seven. The brand is eyeing Delhi NCR, Mumbai and surrounding areas such as Thane, Navi Mumbai and Vashi, as well as Pune, Surat, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Chandigarh. It will focus on mall locations in Tier 1 cities and select Tier 2 markets.
OVS positions itself around the idea that style, quality and design should be accessible to everyone, a belief summed up in its tagline “Love People. Not Labels.” The company has built this into a “House of Collections” model, bringing together distinct brands, each with its own identity and community, under one umbrella.
OVS S.p.A. is Italy’s largest clothing group for men, women and children, with operations also in beauty and home decoration. It runs more than 2,600 stores in Italy and abroad, mostly under the OVS and Upim banners. Its portfolio includes PIOMBO, OVS Kids, Les Copains, Blukids, Stefanel, Goldenpoint, CROFF and Shaka. Listed on Euronext Milan since 2015, the group reported sales of EUR 1.746 billion and EBITDA of over EUR 218 million in 2025. It says it continues to pursue responsible sourcing, water-efficient processes and recyclable materials.
