Wacoal names Rakul Preet Singh brand ambassador in India

Japanese premium lingerie brand Wacoal has appointed actor Rakul Preet Singh as its brand ambassador in India, the company announced today. She fronts ‘In Pursuit of Beauty,’ Wacoal India’s Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign, the first project of the partnership.

The campaign looks at beauty as an evolving form of self-expression shaped by discovery, refinement and the confidence to embrace individuality. Wacoal said the tie-up brings together its heritage of Japanese craftsmanship and Rakul’s style and sensibility. The company described her as a versatile and disciplined figure with a distinctive sense of style, and said she represents the modern woman who embraces her individuality while continuing to evolve.

Campaign film

The campaign film shows Rakul through a series of expressive moments, each reflecting a different facet of her pursuit of beauty and self-expression. These are interspersed with glimpses of Wacoal’s craftsmanship, from the precision of its designs to the finer details of each garment. The film combines fashion, movement and Japanese craftsmanship to present the AW’26 collection in a contemporary light. It is available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/pTQZ8jS0DvQ.

The AW’26 collection

The campaign focuses on four Wacoal signature lines:

  • Iris: A statement silhouette with gel push-up lift, designed to enhance shape while offering confidence and support.
  • Basic Mold: A moulded everyday essential designed to create a smooth silhouette and sit seamlessly under clothing.
  • Embrace: Delicate lace panels that combine femininity, softness and support.
  • Cool Comfort: Seamless, bonded construction for a smooth, lightweight feel under clothing, suited to everyday and active lifestyles.

What the company said

Pooja Merani, COO, Wacoal India, said: “At Wacoal, beauty is an ongoing pursuit, expressed through the harmony of thoughtful design, refined craftsmanship and exceptional fit. Rakul embodies this philosophy through her own approach to her craft with grace, discipline and an innate sense of individuality. Her ability to continually evolve while remaining authentic to herself makes her a natural fit for Wacoal. We are delighted to welcome her to the Wacoal family and bring the philosophy of ‘In Pursuit of Beauty’ to life through this association.”

Rakul Preet Singh added: “I’ve always believed that the best version of you is the one you’re still working on. Wacoal approaches lingerie the same way, with so much thought and care going into every detail. When something fits you that well, you stop thinking about it and just get on with your day. I’m thrilled to be part of the Wacoal family.”
