ASICS reaches 150 stores in India with new Jaipur outlet

Japanese sportswear maker ASICS opened its 150th store in India on Monday, a 1,508-square-foot outlet at Pacific Mall in Mansarovar, Jaipur, which is also its third Company-Owned, Company-Operated (COCO) store in the country.

The store carries ASICS’ range across Performance Running, SportStyle, Core Performance Sport and Apparel. It follows the brand’s global retail concept, with a Foot ID service that helps customers understand their individual foot needs before choosing products for running, training or everyday wear.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajat Khurana, Managing Director, ASICS India & South Asia, Executive Officer, ASICS Corporation, said, “India’s sportswear market is evolving rapidly, with consumers increasingly looking at sportswear brands for how they fit into everyday life and culture. At ASICS, this shift is shaping how we think about our retail presence, where performance, sports and lifestyle increasingly come together in one brand experience. Reaching 150 stores in India with the launch of our third COCO store in Jaipur is an important milestone in this journey. As we continue to grow, our focus is on creating retail spaces that are distinctive, relevant and rooted in our philosophy of ‘Sound Mind, Sound Body’, while reflecting how consumers live, move and engage with sportswear today.”

The company said the opening reflects its continued growth in India as it expands across key markets and extends its global retail standards to a wider base of consumers. It described the 150-store mark as evidence of the scale of its India operations and of its continued investment in retail.

ASICS takes its name from the Latin phrase Anima Sana In Corpore Sano, meaning “a sound mind in a sound body.” Founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka, the company designs and manufactures running shoes, athletic and SportStyle footwear, apparel and accessories.
