Jewellery brand Zinara raises Rs 3.61 cr in pre-seed round led by IPV

Lab-grown diamond jewellery brand Zinara has raised Rs 3.61 crore (about US$380,000) in a pre-seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). Nine Jewellery, Bollywood actress Nikita Dutta and other angel investors also participated in the round.

The startup will use the funds to build its team and accelerate marketing, while also strengthening its supply-chain infrastructure.

Zinara is trying to move diamond jewellery out of the special-occasion category and into daily wear. Its contemporary designs are crafted in 18K gold vermeil with lab-grown diamonds and priced to stay accessible. The brand’s portfolio now has over 400 designs, and its digital-first model lets it serve customers across India.

Buyers also get a lifetime warranty, buyback and exchange, which the company says takes some of the hesitation out of a first diamond purchase. The business has crossed Rs 1 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR).

Zinara was founded by IIT Delhi alumni Harshit Abrol, Co-founder and CEO, and Sumanyu Vyas, Co-founder and COO. Abrol previously worked at P&G and Apnaklub, while Vyas has worked at Blinkit and Classplus. Together, they combine a close understanding of the consumer with hands-on experience of building and scaling businesses.

Explaining the investment rationale, Vinay Bansal, Co-founder, IPV, said, “Zinara is operating at the intersection of three shifts which is shaping the future of jewellery consumption in India: the rise of the design-conscious consumer, the growing acceptance of lab-grown diamonds, and the demand for accessible price points. Zinara’s positioning of diamond jewellery as both an everyday essential and a statement of personal style, while keeping it accessible, is what sets the brand apart. We believe Zinara has the potential to build a differentiated jewellery brand at scale, and we are backing the team as it enters its next phase of growth.”

Commenting on the funding, Harshit Abrol, Co-founder & CEO, Zinara, said, “We believe the next chapter of diamond jewellery in India will be about making it part of everyday life, not just reserved for special occasions. At Zinara, we are building a brand around this shift, combining modern design, lab-grown diamonds and accessible price points to create jewellery that people genuinely want to wear every day. Having IPV and Nine Jewellery come on board is a strong validation of this vision, bringing together entrepreneurial expertise and deep manufacturing capabilities. With this partnership, we are excited to build the team, product and brand infrastructure needed to take Zinara to millions of consumers across India.”

Market Opportunity

The lab-grown diamond market is emerging as a fast-growing segment of the global diamond and jewellery industry, with India seeing strong growth in the category. The Indian lab-grown diamond market was estimated at approximately ₹3,452 crore (US$400 million) in FY25 and is projected to reach ₹5,179 crore (US$600 million) by FY28, a CAGR of about 14%.

India is also an important global manufacturing hub. It produced more than 3 million lab-grown diamonds in 2023, accounting for over 15% of global output.
