Galeries Lafayette India, the Mumbai-based arm of the French luxury department store group has appointed Noopur Khandekar as its Head of Brand Marketing, effective August 2026.
In the newly appointed role, Noopur will lead brand-building efforts for Galeries Lafayette as the retailer expands its presence in Mumbai, focusing on crafting the brand’s identity and developing customer experiences as part of what she describes as an “exciting new chapter” for the company in India.
Noopur joins Galeries Lafayette India after a year and a half as Senior Vice President at Tilt Brand Solutions. Prior to that, she spent nearly six years as a Portfolio Associate at Spring Marketing Capital (2019–2024), a role in which she developed creative strategies to build brand awareness, generated consumer insights to inform content strategy, and managed stakeholder relationships for major brands including Zoya, Epigamia, 82°E and Hindustan Unilever (HUL).
Her earlier career includes senior roles across the MullenLowe Lintas Group network, where she rose from Brand Services Manager to Associate Vice President between 2011 and 2018, spanning account management, strategy and planning across the group’s Mumbai and Gurugram offices. She began her career as a Brand Consultant at Rediffusion Y&R in 2010.
With more than 15 years of experience in brand marketing and strategy, Noopur’s move marks a significant step for Galeries Lafayette as the French retail major continues to build out its leadership team in India.
