Kewal Kiran Clothing posts 19% revenue growth in Q1 FY27, profit up 29%

Apparel major Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited (KKCL) has reported a 19% year-on-year rise in revenue for the first quarter of FY27, along with a 29% jump in both operating profit and net profit, as the company announced its audited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

Financial performance

Revenue from operations came in at Rs 279 crore for Q1 FY27, up from Rs 234 crore in the same quarter last year. Gross profit rose 22% to Rs 121 crore, compared with Rs 99 crore a year earlier, with gross margin at 43%.

EBITDA grew 29% to Rs 54 crore, against Rs 42 crore in Q1 FY26, taking the EBITDA margin to 19% from 18% a year ago. Net profit (PAT) also climbed 29% to Rs 41 crore, up from Rs 32 crore in the year-ago quarter, with PAT margin improving to 14% from 13%.

Sequentially, revenue was lower than the Rs 324 crore reported in Q4 FY26, though PAT for the quarter was higher than the Rs 34 crore posted in the preceding quarter. For the full year FY26, the company had reported revenue of Rs 1,213 crore, EBITDA of Rs 238 crore and PAT of Rs 153 crore.

Management commentary

Joint Managing Director Hemant Jain said the quarter marked a strong start to FY27, with growth recorded across revenue, EBITDA and profit despite a difficult external environment. He attributed the performance to volume expansion and broad-based growth across the company’s brand portfolio, and said operational discipline had allowed the company to scale while protecting margins.

Jain added that both retail and non-retail sales channels had contributed to the growth, and that the company’s expanding network of exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) was helping strengthen brand visibility. He said the company remained confident of sustaining its growth momentum through the rest of FY27.

KKCL has been operating in India’s fashion apparel segment for more than four decades. The company runs an integrated business model spanning design, manufacturing, branding and retail, and owns brands including Killer, Integriti, Lawman, Easies, Junior Killer and Kraus. It currently operates 670 exclusive brand outlets and works with more than 80 distributors covering over 3,000 multi-brand outlets across India, in addition to a presence in national chain stores.
