In a significant top-tier movement within the Indian apparel sector, premium menswear brand Blackberrys has announced the appointment of Sartaj Singh Mehta, a seasoned leader with nearly three decades of experience, to its leadership team. Mehta, a seasoned veteran with over 27 years of experience, transitions to Blackberrys following a long and impactful tenure at Pepe Jeans London.
Mehta is recognized as one of the industry’s most influential product and design strategists. A postgraduate in Knitwear Design & Technology from NIFT Delhi, he has a proven track record of scaling iconic brands and navigating the complexities of both traditional retail and modern e-commerce.
Mehta joins Blackberrys following an impressive nine-year tenure at Pepe Jeans London, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Design and Product.
Mehta has also held leadership roles at ITC Limited (Wills Lifestyle & John Players) as Creative Head, Benetton Group as Product Director, and Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (ABFRL) where he spent over seven years as Creative Director for Allen Solly.
