Pepe Jeans India Limited has appointed Animesh Kumar as Assistant Vice President – Distribution & Value Retail, strengthening its leadership as the brand sharpens focus on its expansion.
Based in Mumbai, Kumar will oversee pan-India sales and distribution, with a mandate spanning retail outlet expansion, market penetration and channel development aligned with the company’s growth strategy. His role will cover EBO, MBO and SIS formats, with a particular emphasis on scaling value retail and optimising distribution efficiency.

Kumar brings over two decades of experience in the Indian apparel and fashion retail industry, with a track record of building high-performing retail networks and driving sustained revenue growth across premium and mass-market formats. Most recently, he served as Director – Sales at Being Human Clothing. Prior to this, Kumar was associated with Reliance Brands Limited, where he managed zonal sales and distribution for GAS, La Martina and Starter across West and South India. Kumar also has spent a significant part of his career with the Arvind Group, where he scaled operations across multiple brands and channels.
With deep expertise in retail expansion strategy, distributor and franchise management, P&L ownership and sales forecasting, Kumar’s appointment comes at a time when Pepe Jeans India is looking to accelerate its distribution footprint and strengthen execution across value-led retail channels.
