Having already introduced global athleisure and lifestyle brands such as Foot Locker, Fila, and New Era to India, Metro Brands now expands its portfolio into the sports performance segment with MetroActiv — a concept built to inspire India to get active and stay active. Designed for a generation on the move, it represents the next evolution in how Indian consumers experience sportswear through accessibility, expertise, and community.
Leveraging Metro Brands’ retail expertise and deep consumer insight, MetroActiv aims to make premium athletic sportswear more accessible nationwide. The concept combines a diverse product mix, expert guidance, and a connected fitness community under one roof. Each store serves as both a retail and experiential hub, featuring footwear, apparel, and accessories from global performance brands such as Nike, adidas, Puma, ASICS, Skechers, New Balance, FILA, and more—catering to running, training, lifestyle, and outdoor needs.
The first phase of the rollout will see stores opening in Indore, Dehradun, and Jodhpur, alongside the launch of its e-commerce platform, metroactiv.com. Spanning 3,000–6,000 sq. ft., the stores are designed as vibrant, high-energy spaces that merge global design aesthetics with local engagement. The online platform enhances this experience with integrated wellness tools, including a Calorie Counter, Nutrition Tracker, and BMI Calculator, allowing users to track, shop, and stay active within a single connected ecosystem.
A standout feature of MetroActiv is its team of trained ‘Pacers’ — performance advisors who provide expert product recommendations and authentic fitness guidance. Beyond retail, MetroActiv builds community engagement through collaborations with local running clubs, fitness groups, and sports enthusiasts. From city 5K runs to in-store activations, the concept transforms movement into lifestyle and community into culture.
