Sri Ram & Son, a heritage menswear institution with a legacy of 140 years, has announced the appointment of Sunil Goklani as Managing Director & CEO to spearhead the brand’s national and global expansion. This strategic leadership move marks a new phase for the group as it looks to scale its presence from a strong domestic foundation to a broader global stage.
Sunil Goklani, a postgraduate with an MBA and specialisation in Personnel Management, brings over three decades of leadership experience to the role. A veteran in the retail industry, he has played a key role in shaping several well-known brands including YY Yonex, Lerros, Freelook, Blackberrys, M&B, Bestseller (Indifusion), and Biba (Rangriti).
The Mohan family, which has been at the helm of Sri Ram & Son, has built a reputation for excellence in the Indian and global retail industry. Beyond the legacy of Sri Ram & Son, the family’s entrepreneurial vision extends across a portfolio of premium market-leading brands including Pall Mall, Blackberrys, and Guardini.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sunil Goklani to the Sri Ram & Son family,” said the promoters. “As a brand built on a foundation of timeless craftsmanship, we believe Sunil’s vision and deep expertise in the retail landscape are exactly what we need to bridge our rich heritage with a modern, global future.”
Under Sunil’s leadership, Sri Ram & Son aims to drive its next phase of growth through several strategic priorities:
- Heritage Expansion: Bringing deeply rooted, timeless craftsmanship to discerning men across India and overseas.
- Global Positioning: Competing in international markets with fashion that is truly “a step above.”
- Strategic Growth: Leveraging the group’s collective expertise from across its premium brands to strengthen its position in the global menswear segment.
“It is an honor to lead a brand with the profound legacy of Sri Ram & Son,” Sunil Goklani told IMAGES Business of Fashion. “The Mohan family has defined excellence in Indian men’s retail through Sri Ram & Son, Pall Mall, Blackberrys, and Guardini. My goal is to honor that 140 years of legacy and history while implementing a robust growth strategy that positions us as a global leader in men’s fashion.”
