Sneaker retailer Limited Edt and Adidas Originals have unveiled the Superstar Consortium – Made in India, a limited-edition reinterpretation of the classic Adidas Superstar shoe inspired by Indian craftsmanship and culture. The sneaker was released as part of Adidas Originals’ Consortium programme and is limited to 350 individually numbered pairs worldwide.
The design incorporates a peacock motif across the upper, insole and translucent outsole, along with vine patterns drawn from traditional textiles, festive embroidery and haveli architecture. The shoe retains the Superstar’s signature shell toe and adds gold lace locks, jewellery-inspired aglets and gold foil branding, with red and blue accents intended to reference colors associated with prosperity and celebration in Indian tradition.
Each pair comes packaged in a matchbox-style box and includes a custom shoe bag, motif socks, an additional set of red and blue laces, a jewellery pouch and a numbered flame charm.
“This collaboration is about more than a sneaker. It’s about showing that Indian culture has a place within global sneaker design. The Superstar is an icon, and this project gave us the opportunity to reinterpret it through an authentically Indian lens while celebrating the craft and culture that continue to inspire us,” said Mandeep Chopra, Founder, Limited Edt.
The release marks the first India-origin sneaker collaboration to launch across both the India and Singapore markets under Limited Edt. The sneaker will be available in India starting August 8, 2026, priced at ₹11,999, and in Singapore from August 12, 2026, priced at SGD 179. It is offered in a unisex size range from UK 3 to 13.
In India, the sneaker will be sold at Limited Edt stores in Ambience Mall and DLF Summit Plaza in Gurugram, and Nexus Elante Mall in Chandigarh. In Singapore, it will be available at Somerset @313, Marina Bay Sands and Queensway. The shoe is also available online through limitededt.in and limitededt.com.
