With the ongoing innovations in fibres that lend elasticity to denims, the age-old worry of ill- fitting jeans is passé. We take a look at the recently introduced INVIYA i-300. With its exceptional qualities of stretch and recovery, INVIYA i-300 provides the perfect fit and shape with enhanced comfort and freedom of movement.

Statistics reveal that when we talk of denims, the markets in the US and EU are more or less saturated, with primary growth coming from Asia and Latin American countries. The US consumption is about two jeans per capita whereas the Indian consumption uptill now is only about 0.2 per capita thus offering an unimaginable opportunity for growth. The denim brand which gets its stretch and elasticity feature right will give better comfort and ease of movement to the wearer and will also easily occupy the market leadership position.
Advancements in the denim segment are leading to innovation in spandex industry to meet process requirement – short and hard processes, soft stretch denim etc. Gauging the market potential and gap, INVIYA has introduced its range of fibres that are apt for the changing market demand and acceptance.

FEATURES:

  • ROBUST PERFORMANCE ACROSS APPLICATION WITH HIGHER TENACITY AND STRENGTH
  • EXCELLENT RECOVERY POWER PROVIDES PERFECT FIT AND SHAPE STABILITY EVEN AFTER REPEATED WASHES
  • SOFT AND HIGH ELONGATION PROVIDING COMFORTABLE FIT AND SOFT STRETCH
  • HIGH HEAT RESISTANCE ALLOWS DYEING AND RE-DYEING AT HIGH TEMPERATURES
  • EXCELLENT UNWINDING EVENNESS INCREASES PRODUCTIVITY AND WORKABILITY

Today, the denim jeans market is a part of the booming retail industry of India and as we witness a burgeoning retail revolution in India, there is a healthy trickledown effect on the category of denim jeans as well. The demand and acceptance of denim jeans in India is led by the changing demographics of the Indian population where the young generation today shows no inhibition to dress casually even at workplace. The ‘looking cool’ culture has led to casualization of work place and thus there has been an increase in the demand for well-fit denim jeans that literally form a second skin for the wearer. Advancements in the denim segment are leading to innovation in spandex industry to meet process requirement – short and hard processes, soft stretch denim etc.
Committed to innovation, INVIYA has been constantly working towards new developments of elastane fibre and processes, which provide long- lasting stretch ability and better wearer comfort. INVIYA for denim is a robust spandex fibre with advance polymer, ideal to support light- and heavy-weight twill structure providing appropriate stretch with excellent recovery even after many washes. It is designed to be used in core spinning with natural or synthetic fibres and air covering with nylon or polyester during draw texturising process. By using core spun yarn or air-covered yarn with INVIYA in the weft of the fabric, denim garments are made stretchable and comfortable with higher shape retention capability even after longer periods of use.
Core spinning is a yarn spinning process by which a filament of INVIYA is covered with a sheath of staple fibres to produce a stretchable yarn. Air-covered yarn is manufactured by creating a physical intermingle of INVIYA filament with any other synthetic filament like polyester or nylon with the help of compressed air applied through a nozzle. INVIYA is applied during the draw texturising process of polyester or nylon to avoid the extra process of spandex application. Because of the above innate attributes, it is suitable to apply during draw texturizing process at various drafts as per the required stretch in the covered yarn.
To take care of a brand’s requirement for high-power stretch denims, a path- breaking innovation by INVIYA is the most recent INVIYA I-300. This is a new age spandex fibre made of advance polymer having long-lasting elasticity with robust performance during textile processes. With its extraordinary qualities of stretch and recovery, it provides perfect fit and shape with enhanced comfort and freedom of movement. This new age fibre for denim features high tenacity for high-speed spinning and twisting applications for weaving. It has higher elongation and recovery power as compared to generic elastomeric fibre. High heat resistance properties that are in-built retain its high stretch power even after re-dyeing and repeated washes. INVIYA I-300 are available in 40, 55, 70, and 105 Denier, which are designed for high-powered stretch denims for high performance with increased comfort and long- lasting stretch.
With the offerings from INVIYA, the denim fabric can be used to design envious stretch denims that flatter the body contours with exceptional qualities of comfort, fit, shape and style. These denims snug the wearer’s body and allow them to move with ease and comfort than the rigiddenims that lack the desired stretch, and that often tend to bite into the skin and pinch while doing any activity. To conclude, it goes without saying that the love for denims is unique
to its wearer across geographical boundaries and through the test of time and fashion trends, the craze for denim not only persists but is ever increasing. Choosing the right fibre to take care of the stretch and comfort factor that a customer so yearns for, is not only required but now becomes imperative as well.
