SOUTH PACIFIC

Tropical trends continue to be strong for Spring Summer 2020. This season we have a more vintage expression in the South Pacific. French Polynesia, Micronesia and Malaysia comprising thousands of tiny islands with endless indigenous tribes with a variety of art forms. Our research also focuses on Paul Gaugin’s famous paintings done in Tahiti in the 1890’s. Silhouette captures the Tiki fad that was so popular in the 1950’s with the iconic Hawaiian shirt, high waisted bikini and patterned capri key items.

O’Keeffe

Southwest Indian and Cowboy trends shift this season into something more sophisticated, looking at the life and style of great American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. Her Dutch Irish upbringing and love an influence of New Mexico combined into a simple masculine silhouette with feminine accents that made her a style icon. Clothing has a uniform or monastery quality with proportions and accessories making the look extraordinary.

URA-HARAJUKU

Our fascination with Harajuku as the center of Japanese and youth fashion goes on for many years now. It is inevitable that we see new pockets of influences happening on the outskirts, this area known as Url-Harajuku. We’ve combined the traditional Harajuku technicolor babydoll with the rougher outskirts to develop a new hybrid tribe.

MALIBU

We see an overwhelming wave of 1970’s inspired California surfer influences bubbling up this season. Inspiration and research turns to 70’s beach brands like OP and Hang Ten as well as thrift store board short and Hawaiian tropical shirt finds. The twist that makes this trend new again is integrating more modern day hi-tech materials into old time surf silhouettes.

MODERN AMISH

With the World spinning out of control we find a more universal look into the simple life of the Amish culture. No longer a Quaker affair we find a commune of all cultures embracing this concept of purity and peace of mind in taking care of ones self by manufacturing in your own backyard. The thought of giving up social media and outside stimulus that infiltrates us every second becomes an aspiration.

ATLANTIC CITY

Young mens retro trends find us in Atlantic City this season capturing that seaside nautical element, mixed with a retro carney vibe and a dose of rockabilly for good measure. The juxtaposition serves up a polished, edgy new spin on hipster this season.
