NAOS India, the parent company of skincare brand Bioderma, has announced the promotion of Sanjay Sahu to the role of Area Managing Director.
“This elevation reflects Sahu’s visionary leadership, strategic insight, and key contributions to Bioderma’s growth and transformation in the Indian market over the last four years,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
NAOS is a global skincare company known for pioneering ecobiology—a philosophy that blends biology with skin ecology to support the skin’s natural balance. Through its brands BIODERMA, Institut Esthederm, and Etat Pur, NAOS promotes innovative, science-driven skincare.
About the Role
With over two decades of experience in Sales, Marketing, P&L Management, and Digital Transformation, Sahu has played a pivotal role in establishing Bioderma as a leading brand in India’s growing dermo-cosmetic segment. Under his leadership, the brand has recorded strong sales growth and profitability.
In his expanded role, Sahu will now lead Bioderma’s strategic roadmap across South Asia, including Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. His focus will be on expanding market access, strengthening digital and doctor-led engagement models, and identifying new growth opportunities.
Known for aligning with Bioderma’s global mission of ecobiology—preserving skin health by supporting natural mechanisms—Sahu has driven innovations that blend medical credibility with consumer relevance.
His tenure has been marked by strategic turnarounds and operational excellence, as well as fostering a high-performance culture driven by learning, agility, and innovation.
Sahu’s leadership has also positioned India as a strategic priority for NAOS, with the company planning to double its revenue and expand its presence through increased investment in marketing, digital commerce, and omnichannel distribution.
Prior to joining NAOS, Sahu held senior roles at Abbott, overseeing marketing in dermatology divisions. A pharmacist by training, he brings a mix of technical knowledge, entrepreneurial drive, and digital expertise.
Commenting on his appointment, Sahu said, “I am honored to take on this role at such a pivotal time for NAOS and Bioderma in India. With our commitment to ecobiology and innovation, we are poised to transform skincare solutions for our consumers while advancing accessibility and digital engagement.”
